Dongduk Outbound Program gives opportunities for the undergraduate students of Dongduk Women’s University to study at foreign partner universities which with DWU have signed partnership agreement. The students are selected twice a year in accordance with the agreement between Dongduk and respective partner universities or educational institutions. They can study at the partner universities and experience foreign culture. Thus they could cultivate their own global perspective.
Once the students are selected for the program, the tuition will be paid to home university, and the credits acquired during exchange program at the host university will be transferred according to the procedure.
Student Exchange Program
The selected students will be sent to the respective partner universities that have signed academic partnership agreement. The exchange students have to pay for tuition to Dongduk Women’s University, while the tuition for the host universities will be waived. The duration of program is one semester or one year.
Selection and other administrative procedures are identical with those of Student Exchange Program, and the students for Fee-paying Program will be selected during the general exchange student selection process. Although the students for this program have to pay tuition to both home and host universities, the scholarship for international exchange will be granted to the selected student. The student can apply not only for regular course but also language intensive course.
Short-term International Program
Dongduk Women’s University offers diverse short-term international culture experience and language program for each department. Students experience foreign cultures through cultural excursions and gain self-assertive attitude and global leadership. The program is not only offered during semester but also during vacation. Eligible students participating in the program may receive credits or financial support for expenses.
Study Abroad Foundation Program
SAF is non-profit organization in the U.S., which is established to facilitate credit transfer between foreign universities. SAF administers exchange programs between Dongduk Women’s University and other foreign universities that have not signed partnership agreement. It allows students to study for one semester or one year in one of the SAF member universities (See http://korea.studyabroadfoundation.org/)
Dongduk Women’s University with the aim of cultivating global woman leaders who will lead the 21st century, is offering a dual degree program in which students will be given credits for classes they took at DWU and its partner universities and offered a degree in both schools, provided that the graduation requirements at both schools are satisfied. If chosen as a dual degree program scholarship student, she can not only earn a degree at DWU and its partner universities but also may be eligible for tuition exemption and scholarship for living expenses abroad for up to 4 semesters.
Self-paying Overseas Program
In overseas program in which students pay their own expenses, the student prepares for overseas study or individual training. Students may earn credits at non-partner universities after going through pre-approval review process.

• Students who have completed minimum of one semester at their home university and are not in the final semester of study
• Students who are registered as full-time undergraduate students and intend to earn a degree from Dongduk Women’s University
• Students with cumulative GPA equal to or higher than 3.0/4.5
• Students who are able to study in the language spoken at host university
• Students without any record of disciplinary actions according to university regulation
• Students without any disqualifications for overseas travelling
• Students with qualifications required by Office International Affairs or host universities
